The Motorola Talkabout T9500 is ideally suited for the serious outdoor enthusiast. The T9500 features 7 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and 4 EC/Canada Marine Weather Channels to provide users with continuous broadcasts of local and regional weather updates. And, in areas where ringing is intrusive, the VibraCall™ feature can be enabled for a silent vibration.

The Motorola Talkabout T9500 features a range of up to 10 miles in absolutely perfect conditions. Actual transmission range in normal conditions varies between 1 and 4 miles.

The T9500 radios are equipped with Motorola’s new Push-to-Talk (PTT) power boost feature. When activated, this feature helps extend the transmission range by increasing the transmitter power output -- while helping to save battery life when no power boost is necessary.

This radio features 22 channels, each with 121 privacy codes, users have 2,662 combinations of communication channels to choose from. For natural sounding communication, the digital audio companding technology helps reduce static hiss between words. Additionally, the radios include Motorola’s exclusive Quiet Talk interruption filter -- when enabled, this feature helps ensure that radios from other manufacturers cannot be heard on your channel.

The Motorola T9500XLR two way radio is Motorola's most powerful consumer two way radio yet. The T9500XLR has a slightly longer antenna than previous Talkabout models, giving it a maximum range in optimal conditions.

The Motorola T9500XLR radios support all 22 FRS and GMRS channels with an amazing 121 interference eliminator (privacy) codes per channel. This model also offers a channel scan feature, your choice of 10 call tone alerts, and a backlit display.
