Rugged, compact and built to last; Motorola’s DTR 550 meets military standards for water, dust, shock and vibration -- you’d have to actually try to break it. 5.1 inches tall, 2.3 wide, 1.4 thick and 200 grams light (7.1 oz) this digital two-way radio goes where you go in a pocket, in a bag or clipped to a belt swivel holster (included). Motorola’s Digital Two-Way Radio 550 does your business’ budget a favor by needing no license to operate on the 900 MHz ISM band.
Digital means you get great, cellphone-like features without a cellphone-like bill for minutes and monthly charges. Caller ID and Call Forwarding show who’s calling and lets you direct your calls to another radio when you need to take a break. DTR 550 data storage and transmission features keep scrollable records of your last 20 transmissions with time/date stamps and allow you to send 15 SMS text messages. The DTR 550 comes pre-programmed with preset messages like “I’ll call you back in 5 minutes”. Or you can use a mini-keyboard to add 5 custom configurable messages, “Meeting in Fred’s office in 10”.
