Motorola TalkAbout Distance two-way radios will give you all you need in 2-way communication -- up to 5 miles in range. These are built for the individual user (not licensed for business use). Whether you're camping, biking or on the steepest mountain bike path, don't be without your Distance two-way radios! With a full two watts of power, these colorful, no-nonsense radios, keep you in touch with your group when they're up to 5 miles away (depending on terrain and conditions). These radios are built for tough outdoor fun. Comes with a ni-cad rechargeable battery pack and charger. These handy radios keep going all day long for up to 10 hours (10% talk / 90% standby). The DPS model also can accommodate alkaline batteries, providing up to 20 hours of use (10% talk / 90% standby).

Several options are available. Just plug in an earbud receiver, earbud with push-to-talk mic, flex ear receiver, or remote speaker mic, and modify your radio to suit your need. And with the latest built-in voice activation feature, you can use the earbud with in-line mic or headset totally hands-free! With 10 super-clear General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) frequencies (FCC GMRS license required to operate the radios - but you do not need one to purchase them), plus codes that block out unwanted chatter, these radios offer group communication with the touch of button.
